Book your travel!

Hello everyone,

Don’t miss out on discounts for travel to State of the Map 2011!
The organizing committee for State of the Map 2011  has arranged for airfare discounts with United Airlines and their partners. The discount is valid through nearly the event date, but we suggest you act soon. Fares are going up, and reserving early ensures that you will get the best prices.

For those of you attending FOSS4G, can enjoy the same discounts using the SOTM code!
Our event discount code is 588EJ.

–For travel within the United States, discounts will average 5% from the lowest fares. That’s an additional cut off a fare that already may be super sweet.

–For international travel, discounts will range from 7% to 10%, so you can save some significant coin if you are coming from abroad.
Attending State of the Map is the coolest, but we know no one wants to pay full fare. So, check out fares from your location today.
See you in Denver!

Call for Papers: deadline extension

The call for papers deadline has been extended through June 15, 2011, giving more time for great papers to be presented to the selection committee. There has been a great response for topics from several countries and we want to make sure the opportunity to be apart of this years conference is open to those who are still formulating talks.

The OpenStreetMap Foundation invite contributions from mappers, academics, geo-hackers and open geodata supporters around the world. If you are involved in OpenStreetMap mapping, coding or community organisation – or if you want the chance to present your ideas or opinions to the OpenStreetMap community, you should submit a paper to the State of the Map 2011!
